DEE MILLER BAND
Dee Miller is a longtime Minnesota musician who has shared the stage with Koko Taylor, Janiva Magness, Bobby Messina as well as local favorites Lamont Cranston, Annie Mack, Renee Austin and so many more incredible musicians.
From her early days as a child listening to her mother singing the blues around the house in Maplewood, MN, Dee has been a singer. She first started singing along with Dione Warwick and Aretha Franklin recordings as she crafted her skills. The sounds of Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, and Mahalia Jackson were part of a life spent singing as she walked down the railroad tracks next door to her house. During these times, Dee realized the power of music and what a refuge it is for her.
NEW FERAL CATS
New Feral Cats is the Twin Cities newest high energy blues rock R&B combo. In addition to uptempo soulful blues infused numbers that separate them from the other talented Minnesota bands, they offer their own funky originals for your listening and dancing pleasure.
A solid array of musical talent from many of the area's favorite bands, the Cats share a common desire to simply rock the audience and entertain with each and every performance.
Bruce Archer plays a rollicking combination of bluegrass and blues with a bit of folk/roots that doesn’t fit tidily into a single genre. His finger-picking and slide guitar display a level of talent and mastery that can only come from 40-plus years of sifting through musical styles and keeping the bits that resonate with him. Whether he’s performing an original song or a deep cover, he coaxes from his guitar an instrumental voice that is authentically his own.
